Derwentside Council for Voluntary Services (DCVS) deals with funding and advice to local voluntary organisations and community groups. DVB, now an accredited Volunteer Centre, helps with all aspects of volunteering and working with volunteers
Please join in - become a DCVS member, its free! Ask for us to get you some new volunteers or register your existing ones. If you are interested in volunteering please contact us. Send us information about what is happening with your group and email us your articles and events so we can make this your website too.

Public Access Internet
The Tommy Armstrong Centre has FREE internet access for
public use so pop in to our computer suite. Members of the public are free
to come and use these facilities, free of charge.
This facility will also be available in Consett soon. Keep checking progress here.
Should you require; we will be able to print any work for you for a small charge. IT support is available if required
We Are A UK Online Centre
We are pleased to announce we have recently become a UK Online centre; as a
result we are now able to offer a large number of free courses available
online. These include:
• Using the internet safely
• Using email
• Understanding job hunting online
• Understanding shopping online
• Understanding eBay auctions online
• Understanding music online
• And many others
Just call in for more information, or to start using computers.
Our Stanley Internet suite is available at the following times:

Funding advice
Information on potential funders, guidance, good practice and
support on developing high quality funding proposals
Office services
Photocopying, laminating, binding documents etc
Equipment loan service
Overhead projector, screen, display boards, laptops for
training sessions etc
Financial services
Independent Examination of Annual Accounts, Payroll Service,
Budget advice
Volunteering
Recruiting volunteers, support in placing volunteers, good
practice and up to date volunteering information
